IELTS Preparation Courses

The IELTS Programme at British Horizons focuses on developing the four key skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. The fact that our programme is face-to-face is highly effective as this will put your conversational skills into great practice and, in turn, will prepare you for the speaking element of your exam. During your classes, you will also hone your other skills through regular reading, writing and listening activities. We give equal importance to each of the key skills so that you become a confident all-rounded English speaker.

English language levels (CEFR)

CEFR English levels are used by all modern English language books and English language schools. It is recommended to use CEFR levels in job resumes (curriculum vitae, CV, Europass CV) and other English level references. We list here the CEFR descriptors for language proficiency level, their meaning, and approximate equivalent to other global English evaluation schemes- Cambridge ESOL, Canadian Language Benchmarks / Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CLB/CELPIP), Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL), BULATS, IELTS, and TOEFL.

you can Discover your current English level

with our Online English level test

When you take our online English test, you will be presented with a series of questions that are specifically designed to assess your language abilities. Once you have completed the test, our system will analyze your results and provide you with an accurate evaluation of your current English language level. Our online English test is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is an internationally recognized standard for language proficiency. The CEFR uses a scale from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient) to measure language ability, and our test provides an accurate evaluation of where you fall within this scale.
